Sushi Take-Out sells a la carte pieces of sushi (nigiri) for only $3HKD (about $0.40 USD). No where in the States can you find similar quality sushi for cheaper or even as cheap.

Sushi Take-Out: Store

There are a generous variety of sushi to choose from and some are even quite unique.

Sushi Take-Out: Sushi

They have your standard items such as salmon, tuna, and eel but they also have a very interesting assortment of seafood and shellfish such as sweet shrimp, grilled squid, scallops, whelk, and more.

Along with individually wrapped nigiri, they also have set boxes with assorted sushi and sashimi combos that may be slightly more convenient to eat.

Sushi Take-Out: Sushi

While the fish is not of high-end Japanese restaurant standards, the quality is surprisingly good and decently fresh for under $5HKD per piece and definitely can satisfy a sushi craving without splurging.

Sushi Take-Out: Artic Clam

We recommend trying their clam and whelk sushi as those are not commonly found in your standard sushi eatery. Above is a platter of arctic clam sushi.

Sushi Take-Out: Sashimi Bowl

Various rice bowls are also available with different kinds of fish and seafood in it. The salmon rice bowl above cost $29HKD.

What’s even better is when you visit them about an hour before closing in the evening, they offer a 30% off discount making each sushi piece unbelievable cheap.

Our favorite time to grab Sushi Take-Out is after a long tiring day when we just want to grab some food to bring back to the hotel and enjoy. One time, we visited the Prince Edward station location at 8 pm (when they were running their 30% off special) and picked up a buffet-like amount of sushi for under $30 for the two of to slowly indulge in back at our hotel and while fancy restaurants are nice and all, we wouldn’t trade anything for the value, satisfaction, and comfort of that Sushi Take-Out meal. You can’t go wrong with loading up for a late night meal after a long day of touring Hong Kong!
